Two more seasons of HBO's "Entourage" and then a movie?
That seems to be the plan, according to the show's executive producer Mark Wahlberg.
Asked about the future of the comedy series, which recently was picked up for a sixth cycle coming off one of its strongest seasons, Wahlberg indicated that he believes there are two more seasons left in the show.
"We'll see; there could be more," he said at the premiere of his latest film, "The Lovely Bones." "But then, a movie."
WTF! Entourage has jumped the shark just about when Mandy Moore was gracing us with her awesomeness. Since then, it's turned into a pointless, storyless, shell of its former self. Of course, I still watch it. That doesn't mean that my dream of the show returning to awesomeness actually happens. Sadly, since season II that hasn't been the case. Always had potential but never quite good get over the hump. Kindof of like current Steeler, Limas Peed.
Anyway, there are enough entourage homers out there that will go see and say how awesome it is and thus give this movie a fighting chance. You'll hear a bunch of "IT RAWKZ BRO" and "LETZ HUG IT OUT HARF HARF" among other things. Still though, If i wanted to watch a Sex and the City for guys, I would. And with SATC setting the average precedence, can we expect just a really long and crappy entourage episode?
If so, I'll gladly wait for it to appear on HBO On Demand. Seeing a movie with no point, no story, minimal character development and mildly amusing to me equates itself with seeing a new Seth Green movie. Maybe, that's why he's on Entourage. Eh, who am I kidding. I'll see it in theatres and hate every minute of it.
