White Boy Picks 10-20-1 (I think? something shitty)
So here we are. It is the eve of, as my homeboy, "Mathama part duex", put so elegantly, "the greatest holiday ever invented by man." Unfortunately, man in the form of Roger Goodell has not figured out that most of America does not want to see the Cowbois play a horrid team on each and every Turkey Day. I can live with Detroit getting its one moment per year in the sun but can we please have Dallas play a real team for once!!?? Also, now I have to be anxious all day waiting for my Gigantors (Thanks Mrs. White Boy) to play at night. Keeping all of this in mind.... awaaayyyyy we... but after the jump please
1) Detroit Lions (2-8) +12 vs. Greenbay Packers (6-4)- Upset special alert!! Greenbay lost at Tampa but beat Dallas in the span of 3 weeks. Now it loses star defensive players Al Harris and Aaron Kapman. It has a good QB and receivers but no line to allow these weapons to be properly utilized. I think having the veteran D Culp starting will actually help the Lions win this game as I fear Stafford would throw a few picks against a still respectable defense. I just like Detroit to ride the wave of momentum following their insanely impossible last second win this past Sunday. THE PICK: LIONS WIN OUTRIGHT 21-17
2) Dallas Cowboys (7-3) vs. Oakland Raihhhhdas (3-7) (+14)- There was a game a few weeks ago where I was as certain a team would win as I was it would not cover. I forget what game that was but I was actually correct. Yes, one of my few accurate picks all season I know. Anyway, this game should go the same way. Dallas has scored a grand total of 14 points over the past two weeks against defenses that are not being confused with the 2000 Ravens or the 2008 Steelers. Thankfully for those fuckbags in Dallas, they get to play a terrible Raiders team that can't win on the road against any half-way decent opponent. Still, I think Dallas wins by 7-11 points. THE PICK: RAIHHHDAS TO COVER BUT DALLAS WINS 17-6
3) New York Gigantors (6-4) (-7) at Denver Broncos (6-4)-It seems like every weeks the odds makers overrate my beloved Big Blue-rs. 7 points is an awful lot to give a team on the road who was a coin toss away from losing 5 straight. I am very thankful on this eve of Turkey Day that my favorite team is playing the coldest team in the league right now but I am now overly confident either. Without Bradshaw and AP, this won't be an easy game. I think that the Gints win by 3-5 points by allowing a late touchdown courtesy of a Tim Lewis-Bill Sheridan prevent defense. I just hope Jacobs is not on the hands team for the onside kick. THE PICK: BRONCOS TO COVER BUT GIANTS WIN 24-20
