White Boy's Picks 8-16-1
3) Washington Redskins (3-6) (+11) at Dallas Cowboys (6-3)- I'd be a fool If I suggested to you that Washington and it's horrid offense and coaching could somehow walk into Dallas and actually steal one at Jerry's World. However, Washington usually plays Dallas close for some reason. Division games usually are close even when the talent gap between the team's two combatants is wide. THE PICK: WASHINGTON To cover but Dallas wins 24-14
2) Philadelphia Eagles (5-4) at Chicago Bears (4-5) (-3)- Despite the Eagles trouncing my Giants several weeks ago, it is clear that Philly is no better than an above average team at best. Chicago is an average team at best with an insanely overrated QB. Just because a guy can throw the ball 70 yards does not mean he can make good reads and check-downs nor does it mean he can put the ball where it needs to be put at a given time. Still, Chicago is a decent enough team to win at home against a team it is only slightly worse than. I think Cutler bounces back from his shitshow against San Fran and is the good Jay. Btw, does anyone else think this guy reminds them of A.J. Burnett? THE PICK: BEARS 21-17
1) Atlanta Falcons (5-4) at New York Giants (5-4) (-7)- I actually feel like the Giants win a close one; maybe by 4 or 5 points with an ill timed late pick by Matty "Not so much this year" Ice. But logic says this is the Giant's game. Atlanta is hurting badly as it will possibly have to go with third string running back Jason Snelling (something like that but who the fuck cares.) It has been almost as cold as New York going 1-4 in its last 5 and is an awful road team. New York has its own major injury concern as it just found out it will be without the services of defensive captain Antonio Pierce. I love the man but his best days are long behind him. His horrendous play is as much a reason why this defense has been so unclutch the last few weeks as anything. I am sorry he is hurt and suspect we will never see him done the Blue and White again. G-d bless you AP, will miss ya. That said, Big Blue's running attack should feast on a mediocre Falcon rush defense which should open up the Play Action for Eli who is at his best running the play fake. Unless there is wind gusts of over 15 mph thereby making all of Eli's throws go from spirals to ducks, New York wins going away. THE PICK: GIANTS 27-10 (thanks for the score Ghost of Devo)
