In a swap of young, struggling wingers, Colorado dealt Wojtek Wolski to Phoenix for Peter Mueller and Kevin Porter.
Both wingers who have had past good years are struggling this year, each team hoping a change of scenery does them well. Wolski has been the more consistent of the two, but that doesnt say a whole lot, registering seventeen goals. Mueller has more potential as he is more liekly to go into crowds and score, and better defensively, however he has a paltry four goals this year and nothing seems to go right for him. . Wolski is more a goalscorers breed, taking play to the outside.
Porter, a former fourth round pick has only about half a season total NHL experience. At 23 he is still young but he does not look to be a factor anytime soon.
Winner: Phoenix. Wolski is producing more and Muellers struggles give Phoenix the best player in this deal.
